Much of the functionality for geoprocessing in QGIS is found in community contributed Plugins. The Riverscapes Consortium developed and supports two Plugins currently in QGIS:
- Riverscapes Viewer for viewing Riverscapes Projects (e.g. downloaded from the Data Exchange)
- Riverscapes Studio (QRiS) for monitoring riverscape health and doing LTPBR Planning, Design and As-Builts
How to install Riverscapes QGIS Plugins
- Open QGIS
- Select 'Plugins' from the top Menu Bar and select 'Manage and Install Plugins'
- From the Plugins window, select settings and ensure the box next to 'Show also Experimental Plugins' is selected
- From the left navigation bar, select 'Not installed', enter 'Riverscapes' into the search bar and select 'Riverscapes Viewer'. Then select 'Install Experimental Plugin'. Note: Riverscapes Viewer must be installed before installing QRiS
- After installing the Riverscapes Viewer, follow the same steps to install QRiS.
- When the Plugins are successfully installed, they will be added to the Toolbars.
