Note: pyBRAT v 3.1.00 has been superseded by the production-grade sqlBRAT. The pyBRAT pages will be left up for reference for old ArcPY ArcGIS 10.X users and consumers of pyBRAT projects. However, we are not supporting users trying to run the ArcPy scripts (ArcMap is also on a phase out). The ArcPy scripts are a research-grade, finicky model to get to run and prepare your inputs properly. For individuals who successfully produce pyBRAT runs, you can post your runs to the Data Exchange. As stated in the BRAT 3.0.1 Report Card, the userbase for BRAT that wants to run BRAT themselves is rather small. The userbase that wants to use the outputs of BRAT runs is very large and that has been where the development team's focus has been on scaling up availability of BRAT outputs.
You can download available sqlBRAT model runs from the Data Exchange, as well as some old pyBRAT model runs.
You can request new runs for new areas from the development team at support@riverscapes.freshdesk.com.
By 2025, we hope to have custom run requests available for purchase in the webstore on the Data Exchange. By Fall 2024, you can run custom local BRAT capacity estimates on a reach by reach basis in Riverscapes Studio (scheduled w/ release of 1.1). By 2025, we hope to have documentation on how to do your own sqlBRAT runs, but this will require a much higher skill level than a standard GIS user and proficiency in Python. By 2026, Commercial Grade BRAT should be available.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks,
The BRAT Development Team
