Adding Images
You can easily upload existing photos to Phlux, whether they're from a mobile device, DSLR, point-and-shoot camera, or even historical images. You can add your images to an existing Phlux series or create a new one!
Creating a New Series
Open Phlux and tap the Capture icon. Then you can skip ahead in this guide to the Uploading a Photo section below.
Finding an Existing Series
You can add to any of your own series or another user's Open series. If you have a sponsor, you can also add to any of their series!
Viewing Your Series
You can see series you have previously starred, created, or contributed to on your Profile tab.
Tapping on the number will open a list of series which meet that criteria, and then tap on a series to view it.
Using the Explore Map
In the Explore tab, you can view series based on where they are located.
The map defaults to your current location to help you find series that are nearby! You can tap on a series directly from the map or use the search bar to find what you are looking for.
While viewing a series you can contribute to, tap Add Photo.
Uploading a Photo
To locate your photo, tap either of the upload buttons. You will see your camera roll and folders where you can select an image from the photos you have saved on your device.
Editing Controls
After you upload a photo you will be directed to the Edit tab where you can refine your capture and add important information.
Date & Time
When you upload an existing image that has date & time info associated Phlux will use that info, otherwise, it will default to the current date & time. You can change the date and time associated with the image by tapping on the current info displayed. It is a good idea to double check that the date and time are correct!
Adjust
Use two fingers to zoom in or rotate the image.
Crop
Grab the square corner markers to adjust the aspect ratio of the image. Any future images added to the series will use the same aspect ratio.
Markers
Tap anywhere on the image to add a marker, then input your text and tap add. Once you've added a marker, you can drag it around to reposition it.
Add Note / Photo Description
You can add a note to your image with any information you would like to document. This is specific to the image and separate from the description of the series as a whole.
When you are done, you can save the image by clicking the check mark button in the lower right corner!
