Taking a Photo
Open Phlux and tap the Capture icon.
Tap Start Camera and use the camera to align and capture your photo.
Don't worry if it isn't perfect, you can always crop or realign it in the editing stage!
Uploading a Photo
You can also upload photos you've already taken previously with your phone or another camera. Tap either of the upload buttons. You will see your camera roll and folders where you can select an image from the photos you have saved on your device.
Editing Controls
After you take or upload a photo you will be directed to the Edit tab where you can refine your capture and add important information.
Adjust
Use two fingers to zoom in or rotate the image.
Crop
Grab the square corner markers to adjust the aspect ratio of the image. Any future images added to the series will use the same aspect ratio.
Markers
Tap anywhere on the image to add a marker, then input your text and tap add. Once you've added a marker, you can drag it around to reposition it.
Date & Time
You can change the date and time associated with the image. If you are uploading an existing image that has date & time info associated Phlux will use that info, otherwise, it will default to the current date & time.
Add Note / Photo Description
You can add a note to your image with any information you would like to document. This is specific to the image and separate from the description of the series as a whole.
Series Details
Name, Description, Search Tags
Give your series a name and description, as well as search tags to help find it!
Access Levels
Set who can view and add to your series. Public series can be viewed by anyone but only you can add images. Open series can be viewed and contributed to by anyone. Private series can only be viewed and contributed to by you, and can only be created by paid flux users.
You can find more information on the access permissions for sponsored series here!
Map
Phlux automatically reads the location data from uploaded images and places your series there. If an image lacks location info or is taken within the app, your current location is used instead.
You can also manually adjust the location by tapping the map, and then by dragging the map to the desired location or entering coordinates. This feature is especially useful if you're uploading images after leaving the original location where they were taken.
Finishing Up
Tap the green checkmark and you are done!
